Having done this project Eric teamed up with two other record labels. With Jack Roberts, another musical dentist, and Neil Richmond, a record producer and sound engineer, he set up a record label called Vendetta Records. Vendetta was Jack’s brainchild . Eric was called in to help as A/R and production advisor. The idea behind Vendetta was to sign up unsigned bands and put out and album called “Best of British 1977”. An ad was placed in the Melody Maker stating this and asking for tapes and demos. They got about 500 hopeful demos sent to them, which were filtered down to 10 tracks.
